Michael Q. Rogers, a founding member of Knots4Kids, Inc., is currently serving his second 3-year term as Executive Vice President. He also serves as Chairperson of the Marketing and Public Relations Committee. As an accomplished businessman and human resources leader with over 15 years of progressive practice, Michael models and nurtures organizational excellence and offers a broad blend of business acumen and consulting expertise. A decorated veteran of the U.S. Navy, Michael provided distinctive service in Desert Shield and Desert Storm and was recognized for exceptional leadership in personnel management, training, and implementation of quality of life initiatives. He is reputable for collaborating, navigating change, and aligning people strategies with organizational goals. In 2003, Michael was recognized by the former City of Jacksonville Mayor John Delaney for implementing StarBuilder, a Leadership Education & Development Series. In 2005, he served as a management consultant and trainer to U.S. Defense Department executives leading the implementation of pay-for-performance compensation systems. In addition to his corporate associations, Michael is a Certified Mediator by the Supreme Court of Florida in the 4th Judicial Circuit, is a columnist and keynote speaker on career maintenance, employability, and engagement strategies. He is a member of several professional organizations including the Society of Human Resources Management (SHRM), the American Institute of Parliamentarians (AIP), and served on the national board of directors as Vice President of Fundraising and Senior Vice President of Communication and Branding of the National Association of African Americans in Human Resources (NAAAHR). Michael holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Organization and Leadership and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration.
